Best Time to Post on Instagram (and How to Find Yours)
You will find plenty of charts claiming a single best time to post on Instagram. They average millions of accounts across different countries and audiences, so they rarely fit yours. Your own posts are a better guide.
Why there is no universal best time
Your followers live in particular time zones, work particular hours and use Instagram at particular moments. A food account in Jaipur and a gaming account with a mostly American audience will have very different peaks.
Use your own history
Group your recent posts by day of the week and by time of day, in blocks of a few hours. Work out the average engagement in each block. The block with the highest average, across more than one post, is your current best slot.
Be careful with small samples
One great post can make a slot look magical. Look for slots that do well more than once, and treat a single result as a hypothesis to test.
Test and repeat
Post your next few pieces in the strongest slot and compare. Then try one new slot. Over a month you will build a reliable picture.

FAQ
Does posting time still matter?
It matters less than content quality, but early engagement can still help a post, so posting when your audience is active is worth it.
