Questions about YouTube analysis
Is this YouTube channel analyzer free?
Yes. Free shows the main numbers for 3 channels a day, no sign-up needed. Plus and Pro unlock every recent video, the best time to upload, title patterns and the AI Growth Coach. YouTube analyses don’t use your monthly Instagram analyses.
Do I need to log in with my YouTube or Google account?
No. Pixtale only uses public data that YouTube shows to everyone, so you can analyse your own channel or any competitor without connecting an account.
Can I analyse a competitor’s channel?
Yes. Paste any public channel link, @handle or video link. Comparing your numbers with a similar channel is one of the fastest ways to see what to change.
What is a good engagement rate on YouTube?
Engagement here means likes plus comments divided by views. Many channels sit around 2–5%, and smaller, loyal channels are often higher. Compare a channel with its own typical videos and with similar channels rather than with one fixed number.
Can I see watch time, CTR or audience age?
No. Watch time, retention, click-through rate, revenue and audience details are private to the channel owner in YouTube Studio. Pixtale shows what is public: subscribers, views, likes, comments, upload dates, length and titles.
How is the engagement rate calculated?
Likes plus comments, divided by views, for each recent video. We show the median, so one viral video doesn’t distort it.
How do you tell Shorts from long videos?
Videos up to 60 seconds count as Shorts. Videos up to 3 minutes count as Shorts when they are tagged #shorts. Everything else counts as a long video.
Why does it say subscribers are hidden?
Some creators hide their subscriber count on YouTube. We respect that and show the other numbers.
How often is the data updated, and what do you keep?
A channel is fetched again at most every 12 hours. Everything Pixtale fetches from YouTube is deleted within 30 days. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
Where does the AI growth plan come from?
Pixtale’s AI reads the channel’s public numbers, titles and, on Pro, a sample of public comments, then writes quick wins, a 30-day plan and video ideas. It can’t watch the videos, so it never claims to.
Also on Pixtale: analyse any Instagram account, find the most viewed reels in your niche and free creator tools.
Data comes from YouTube's public API and covers each channel's latest uploads (up to 50). Numbers refresh at most every 12 hours. The AI reads titles and numbers, not the videos themselves. Pixtale Growth isn’t affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
